Monday, 0930.
It is photoshoot session for two of Arashi members this morning. They have only started for about ten minutes when one of the member is already tired of it. Ninomiya Kazunari sighed for the nth time since then session started. The photographer is being a pain in the ass with the ridiculous poses he asked the idols to do. An early photoshoot is not a likeable thing for him, but he did it anyway. It is his job and he likes his job. But the loud photographer has started to get on his nerve. The staffs who are getting the sign quickly asked him to step away from the set and make him sit behind the camera for a while which he gladly complies. He needed a break, he has been working all night yesterday anyway. The other member is however, still looking fine despite the same working hour they got yesterday. Looking at his fellow member, his best friend who is smiling brightly for the camera, Ninomiya could not help a small chuckle. The beam from his smile almost blinded his eyes but he did not stop looking, instead, he stares deeper while his mind is going on a memory lane.

Aiba’s first greeting is something he will never forget. “Hi, my name is Aiba. What is yours?” a boy asked. When he looked up, he saw a tall, skinny boy beaming at him. The smile, is something he never seen before. Despite the unarranged teeth, the smile, is however, very honest. And bright! Perhaps the brightest smile he ever seen in this life. It began like that, their friendship. To be honest, the previous months as a Johnny’s junior without Aiba is hard but with him, it is always an exciting experience. Though, he will never admit.
From the hard time of dance practises, to the painful gym sessions, to the exciting moment when they will appear on TV for the first time, to the tiring rehearsals, to the seniors’ concerts, to sleepless nights in the dorms as a junior with Aiba is unforgettable.
He even still remember the moment when he really want to quit the company before debuting, his manager said “Why don’t you try it? Aiba-kun will be in the group too.” Hearing that, his mind quickly change, his heart soften a bit. Not that he change his mind all because of Aiba but he can say that Aiba is one of the biggest reason to stay.
When Aiba knew he want to quick, he came to him begging him to stay with tears decorating that usually shining eyes. Aiba hugged him when he said he will stay, tears still traced his cheeks. What Aiba said after that is priceless.
“You know, I always dream of debuting. But never without you.” And he could not help but hugging his friend and cry too. Of course he will deny it after.
When he returned from Hollywood and finally able to switch on his phone, he finds Aiba’s text every day since the day he left. Not a day missed. Even the content is meaningless, but he knows that his friend his missing him.
“Nino, have a safe flight. Take care.”
“Nino, have you eaten? I am eating hamburger and it is not tasty! Without you… *pout*”
“Nino, I got a new cap. My manager said it’s a present from a fan! Guess what? You got a matching one too! Should we wearing it together someday? *grind*”
Nino this, Nino that. And he got all the texts printed. He don’t know why.
During up and down of Arashi, they have faced it together and there is not a moment that he regrets his decision to stay. And now, his sloppy friend has grown into a charming man. Well, for him, Aiba is always charming but these days, people started to notice his sun’s charms. And he is glad.

“Ninomiya-san, are you ready?” the voice of a staff wakes him from the lane. He blinks away the memory and makes his way to the set, beside his friend.
“Nino, are you okay? Are you tired?” Aiba whispers to his ear.
“Let’s go eat after this. My treat!” he whispers back. He caught a shocked expression for a while but as Aiba smiles and says “Un!” he smiles too. Just with that, his motivation flowing back again.
‘Dear God, he is a brother you forget to give me in the first place, so please let me keep him close forever.’ He prays.
Because I have been seeing Aimiya too much lately and I love their brotherhood :D
